About the Designer

Sharon Lee Hudson was born and raised in New York City. She was born in the 1960s. Sharon refers to herself as a child of the 70s and 80s, since she identifies with many aspects of those decades (ex: disco music, flared pants, movies made during those times, etc.). Sharon thinks of herself as a New Yorker, no matter how far she travels from New York or how many years she spends away from her native city.

Her love for art can be seen in her background. As a young adult, she spent much of her time in museums. In college, she minored in art history. Sharon feels that if you are going to study art history in the United States, New York City is the place to do it.  Because her minor focused on the history of art. and not the creation of art, Sharon's skills developed overtime via self-taught efforts, which started as a hobby, and remained as one for many years. In fact, Sharon began drawing before she minored in art-history.

Sharon planned to work on a college campus as a liaison for students with disabilities. However, after earning a Master of Science in special education, she was unable to find work. Shortly after, a health issue she had began to take a sharp turn. Sharon, herself, became a person with a disability.  Eventually, she would become a person with multiple disabilities.
Sharon is grateful for the things she learned in school.  During the lowest point of her life, she started this company and began to rise above all the challenges she was experiencing.  To this day, she continues to try and rise.

Sharon often refers to herself as having two angels in her life.  One is a family friend that has provided tons of emotional support to her family, and the other is her best friend, who has traveled through life with her for over 25 years, sharing the good times and not so good times with her. Sharon remains ever so grateful for having both of them in her life.
